Popular gay porn star Austin Wolf busted for trading sickening child porn feds

Popular gay porn star “Austin Wolf” was busted Friday on charges that he sent and received hundreds of child porn videos out of his Manhattan apartment. Justin Heath Smith, 43, who uses “Austin Wolf” as his stage name, traded the horrific videos — including one showing a 10-year-old child bound and raped — with an anonymous target of an FBI probe on the encrypted app Telegram, authorities said.Gay porno An undercover FBI agent then used that person’s Telegram account to chat with Smith and confirm his identify, court papers said. The feds raided Smith’s Manhattan apartment in April and found around 200 videos containing child porn on an SD card inside the adult film star’s computer room, the complaint alleges. Smith, wearing a tight-fitted athletic gray shirt and blue jeans, was ordered held without bail at a hearing in Manhattan federal court Friday afternoon. Prosecutor Getzel Berger described him as a “danger to children online, danger to children offline, danger to children everywhere.” His lawyer, Michael Baldassare, had urged US Magistrate Judge Robyn F. Tarnofsky to order Smith, who has no criminal history, held instead on 24-hour house arrest with GPS monitoring. The attorney pressed the judge not to send Smith to Brooklyn’s troubled Metropolitan Detention Center, which is on a 23-hour-a day lockdown after an inmate was stabbed to death earlier this month. Baldassare argued that his proposed restrictions would make Smith’s “apartment the MDC” — but would “let him eat, shower, not get murdered” and not have a cell filled with maggots. But Tarnofsky, calling the allegations, “very troubling,” said from the bench that releasing Smith “could not reasonably assure the safety of the community.” Smith is charged with one count each of distribution and receipt of child pornography and possession of child pornography. He faces a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in prison, and a max of 20 years, if convicted on the top count. As federal marshals led him out of the courtroom, Smith turned to face his life partner of 10 years, who was sitting in the courtroom gallery, and mouthed, “I’m sorry.” He is due back in court for an initial hearing on July 29.
